Sahara Camel treks in Marrakech. We are often asked for a camel trek in Marrakech but please note that it is a 10hrs drive each way to the Sahara dunes of Erg Chebbi and we recommend 4 days for desert tours with camel treks from Marrakech.
4 day or 5 day Marrakech desert tours, with camel trekking in Morocco at Erg Chebbi, include the highlights of the route and the option to spend one night in a Bedouin nomad tent under the stars at a desert camp. Our Sahara trips run Marrakech to Marrakesh but can also run Marrakech to Fez.
We will meet you in a 4x4 with aircon and local Moroccan driver at your hotel or riad to transport you across the dramatic landscapes of South Morocco to Merzouga. Arrive in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahaara desert, and camel trek in Morocco across the sand dunes of the Erg Chebbi sand sea to sleep overnight in a nomad tent in a desert camp where dinner is served under the stars.
If Sahara camel trekking is not for you, you can still enjoy the desert at the leisurely pace of a camel with an Erg Chebbi camel trek at sunset with a night in a hotel at the dune line.

Camel Trekking Excursions from Marrakesh
Camel Trekking Excursions are available to the dunes of Erg Chebbi at Merzouga or Erg Chigaga at Mhamid. Both dunes are however a 10hrs drive each way and it is also possible to camel trek around Zagora although this does not offer you the same desert experience:

Overnight Erg Chebbi Camel Treks
Arrive in Merzouga where your camels and nomad guide will waiting to take you across the dunes of the Sahara. Camel trek as the sun sets for approximately one to two hours to reach your desert camp and shelter for the night - a camel-hair Bedouin tent.
At your desert shelter an evening meal is freshly prepared by your guide and it is usual for the camel guides to sing Berber songs under the stars.
Rise early to greet the new day and camel trek back over the Erg Chebbi dunes to Merzouga. Or continue your Erg Chebbi camel trek for another day or days.
