Marrakech Camel Trek Tours (3 days)
Marrakech trips to the Sahara with Erg Chebbi camel treks include long drive times as it is a 10hrs drive from Marrakech to the Sahara. If you have time we recommend 4 days for a Marrakech Sahara trip to break the journey each way and include Ait Benhaddou, Dades Gorge and Todra Gorge.
Morocco camel treks are the highlight of our Marrakech desert tours that include Ait Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, Dades Gorge and Todra Gorge. Our Sahara treks are designed to be a quick introduction to Morocco with an overnight camel trek in the Erg Chebbi dunes to 'sleep under the stars'.
Arrive in Merzouga, a Berber desert village at the base of the Erg Chebbi dunes, to meet your desert guide and camel trek at sunset to your shelter for the night – a Bedouin tent hand-made of camel hair. After a freshly prepared meal of tagine it is usual for the desert guides to sing Berber songs.
